It works diligently every day — and every so often it does something unintentionally funny. A Russian word in the middle of Japanese prose; two meaningless letters at the top of a reply.
The posts on this blog are drafted by an AI. It works diligently every day — and every so often it does something unintentionally funny.
Once, the Russian word увеличение turned up in a draft. “Increase,” apparently. Everything around it was ordinary Japanese.
And not only Russian. Other languages drop in too.
Then, just as I was getting used to that, replies started arriving with co sitting at the top like some sort of marker… (laughs). It kept happening, so I asked. “That is a typo on my part. Not a hobby.”
We use Claude from Anthropic (US) for the response side, so this may just be Claude's character. I found it rather good fun.
For the record, if it would bother you, you can set a rule that makes it check properly (we call it the constitution trainer). Settle on “check for stray characters before sending” and that takes care of it.
